When President Trump speaks in front of some 20,000 people Tuesday night at a jam-packed arena in Orlando, he’ll formally kick off his 2020 re-election campaign.

In reality, the president’s bid for a second term in the Oval Office has been underway for as long as Trump’s been in the White House. And compared with his 2016 campaign, the 2020 edition -- thanks to the power of the incumbency and a massive war chest -- is in a whole different (big) league.

WASHINGTON - The brouhaha over U.S. President Donald Trump’s “oppo research” comments — that he’d be willing to accept outside foreign government political assistance — comes down to this question:

Is opposition research a “thing of value” that foreign nationals are prohibited from offering to American political campaigns?

WASHINGTON - Unlike his recent threats to impose tariffs on Mexican goods, U.S. President Donald Trump’s steadfast determination to confront China’s trade practices has garnered bipartisan congressional support, albeit with reservations.

“We’ve got to do something about China, or America will not be a strong economic power 10 or 15 years from now,” Senate Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said earlier this month.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders will be departing her post within weeks, U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday.  

"Our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas," Trump said on his personal Twitter account.

THE WHITE HOUSE - U.S. President Donald Trump faced questions Monday afternoon about his recent deal with Mexico to control immigration, but provided little clarity on what he said were undisclosed portions of the agreement when he spoke with journalists.
